Tell me if I am wrong but isn’t July supposed to be in the season known as Summer in England?
The weather we are experiencing at present is not quite normal. Us Brits are quite used to having wet weather during the summer. It’s part of our heritage and tradition, but to receive a months worth of rainfall in just 10 minutes is quite ludicrous, don’t you think?
Our poor Hens didn’t quite have enough time to run for shelter before the heavens opened followed by a crash of thunder and hailstones the size of beach pebbles. My garden looked like Shreks swamp!
And as quickly as the rain came, the sun appeared once more and the heat rose up again, already drying out the back garden.
I feel sorry for all my Geocaching friends who decided to go out for the odd cache or two this afternoon.
If you find yourselves out and about in this unusual weather please take care and be careful. We have been lucky down south so far and not experienced the flash flooding that’s hit other parts of the country, but our weather remains as unpredictable as ever!
